We worked with a major global client involved in mineral processing. Client was embarking on sourcing alternate supply solution to ensure improved quality, high degree of reliability, cost saving and managing supply chain to deliver on tight lead time; all with enhanced performance capability.

Approach:

Our Team @ TRICON embarked on sourcing alternate options to deliver on key deliverables. We were mandated to propose design changes, secure reliable supply solution and improve reliability with enhanced features to perform under extreme temperature, pressure and particle discharge velocity.

Solution:

Our Team @ TRICON in collaboration with our global sourcing team and partners worked on a developmental platform from 3D designing, engineering, 3D prototyping from bar stock, testing for valve performance to ensure reliability and manufacture through investment casting with modifications to internal softwoods and parts; all with enhanced performance capabilities.

Outcome:

We used a 3D prototyping system to ascertain original design features. Undertook rigorous operational and application data analysis. Continue to develop solution involving a team with focus on design, application, material science, manufacturing and maintenance to ensure we deliver a comprehensive solution to improve asset performance.
